Film legend, John Carpenter - like most of us sane people - is so sick of Nazis. But unlike John, we don't have neo-nazis and white supremacists hailing our films as masterpieces.
Since 1988, John's cult classic They Live has been misinterpreted by the hate groups for an anti-Semitic message, that John says isn't there at all. The director took to Twitter to try and clean up the facts about this supposed fight against Jewish supremacy and wound up fighting with trolls who wanted to hatesplain his own movie to him.
THEY LIVE is about yuppies and unrestrained capitalism. It has nothing to do with Jewish control of the world, which is slander and a lie.— John Carpenter (@TheHorrorMaster) January 4, 2017
