Amazon has officially picked up the Jordan Peele-executive produced drama of 1970s Nazi hunters.

The Hunt received a straight-to-series order of ten episodes by the streaming giant. The narrative will follow a group of Nazi hunters from 1977 New York City who are conspiring to create a Fourth Reich on American soil. The team of Nazi hunters will seek swift and bloody justice to end the insidious plans of these American Nazis.

The Hunt is created by David Weil who executive produces with Peele, and is based on real events.

Peele tells Variety on The Hunt, "Its cathartic. Its noir. It's frighteningly relevant. It's exactly what I want to see on television. I am thrilled to be working with Amazon in bringing this incredible vision to the world."

The Hunt is Peele's second project with Amazon after his upcoming documentary series look at the infamous Lorena Bobbit case. There are no premiere dates yet – stay tuned to The 405 for more as we hear it.
