Art is subjective, most times. Other times, certain things should never have been made. Elizabeth, Michael & Marlon, the new TV movie that will air in the UK on January 19, is one of those things.
Joseph Fiennes stars as Michael Jackson - a terrible representation of the late legend - who takes a road trip with Elizabeth Taylor (Stockyard Channing) and Marlon Brando (Brian Cox) following the September 11 attacks in 2001. "The decision with the casting and the producers — I wrangled with it," he said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter last year. "I was confused and shocked at what might come my way and I knew the sensitivity, especially to Michael’s fans and to Michael’s family. It doesn’t negate who he was."
