Claire Denis has been a rather prolific French-language director for some time now, with 28 credits to her name as a director (including 1988's Chocolat) and 20 to her name as a writer. She has yet, however, to break into the English-language feature market.

That said, it isn't for lack of trying. News of her first English-language feature, High Life (2018) has been percolating since 2016, with Robert Pattinson and Mia Goth already on the project that is apparently a epic psycho-sexual scifi piece about criminals looking for an alternative energy source in space.

Variety now reports that Andre 3000 (credited as Andre Benjamin) and Juliette Binoche are attached to the project. The rapper and actor's last project was the lead in the Jimi Hendrix biopic Jimi: All is By My Side (2013).

High Life is set to begin filming in Germany soon and does not yet have a release date. Stay tuned to The 405 for more on this project as it becomes available.
