Liev Schreiber narrating a Fox docu special on Charles Manson, which uses never before seen 16mm footage

Deadline is reporting that Fox has ordered two parts to their upcoming documentary special on the Manson Family titled Inside the Manson Cult: The Lost Tapes, produced by Naked Entertainment and narrated by Liev Schreiber.

The footage is all 16mm taken from the vault of the late Robert Hendrickson, the documentarian behind the Oscar-nominated Manson, who died in 2016.

The special will focus on the cult's transformation from hippies to cold blood murderers. That end will be accomplished through rare photos, interviews with cult members and law enforcement, including FBI profiler John Douglas (who is essentially the basis of Netflix's Mindhunter).

The documentary is the first American network order for Naked Entertainment, which operates mostly in the UK. Hugh Ballantyne (Finding Jesus) is slated to direct.

This news of course comes not too long after Charles Manson's death late last year and Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood which uses the Tate Murders as part of its inspiration.

Not much else is known about the Schreiber special right now. Stay with The 405 for more as we hear it. See a trailer for Hendrickson's Manson below.
