If you're familiar with Sarah Records, and have any of those prized 7” singles from "possibly the most indie of all indie labels", then this is a documentary that will need no selling from us.

For those music fans that are not so au fait with the label, then we strongly urge you to watch the trailer before and get onboard with this most fascinating of stories; a story of passion, fandom, hardcore ethics, entrenched politics, a unique ending, and of course wonderful music. My Secret World is a documentary on Sarah Records, a label that was active from 1987-1995. The doc is directed and funded by Lucy Dawkins over four year period, and feature a whole swathe of interviews by those at the very heart of the operation alongside musicians past and present.

Having successfully done the rounds on the film festival circuit, here's your chance to see the doc on the big screen via a showing at Hackney Picturehouse, London, on April 12th at 17:00 - with tickets available from here. A Q&A will follow the screening with Matt and Clare (the label's founders) and hosted by music journalist Pete Paphides. A "meet and greet" with Matt and Clare is also on the cards, including a DJ set of Sarah tracks in the cinema's Attic bar afterwards.

This has all been made possible by our friends at Doc 'n roll Festival.

*Update* The screening has been upgrades to Screen 1 at Hackney Picturehouse (same time), therefore more tickets have been released.
