The first international trailer for John Cameron Mitchell's quirky, cinematic adaptation of Neil Gaiman's offbeat, totally wacky sci-fi comedy love romp How to Talk to Girls at Parties is here.

Suburban London (Croydon) in the '70's, was under the spell of the Sex Pistols in the age of Punk, and every teenager in the country wants to be a punk. Hearing the local punk Queen Boadicea (Nicole Kidman) is throwing a party, the film's male lead Enn (Alex Sharp) crashes the fun and discovers every horny teenage boy's dream: gorgeous foreign exchange students. When he meets the enigmatic Zan (Elle Fanning), the hormones take over. But these girls have come a lot further than America. Light years further.

Our foreign exchange students are in reality aliens from another galaxy dispatched to Earth for a mysterious rite of passage. When the dark secret behind the rite is revealed, Enn must turn to Boadicea and her punk followers for help in order to save the alien he loves from certain death. The punks take on the aliens on the streets of London, and neither Enn nor Zan's universe will be the same.

The film itself got mixed reviews when it premiered at Cannes, still enjoy this Japanese infused trailer, embedded below, for what promises to be a very interesting and off-the-wall cinema experience:
