What appears to be a horrific tale of family decline and cursed lineage ala Poe's "Fall of the House of Usher" – an effort written and directed by Ari Aster that made Sundance scream when it premiered there, Hereditary (brought to you by A24, the studio behind Lady Bird and The Disaster Artist, among other hits), has a new trailer.

"When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter's family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited as it slowly destroys everything they know."

Hereditary stars Gabriel Byrne, Toni Collette and Alex Wolff. Catch it in theaters June 8.
