Warner Bros. has unveiled its first look at Bradley Cooper's directorial debut, the latest incarnation of A Star is Born, a movie he also wrote and stars in.

Cooper's is the fourth take on the film. The first, directed by William A. Wellman and starred Janet Gaynor and Frederic March, is from 1937. The second, from 1954, was directed by George Cukor and starred Judy Garland and James Mason. The most recent take besides Cooper's, from 1976, was directed by Frank Pierson and starred Barbara Streisand, Kris Kristofferson and Gary Busey.

In A Star is Born, "A movie star helps a young singer and actress find fame, even as age and alcoholism send his own career into a downward spiral."

The film also stars Lady Gaga and Sam Elliott. Catch it in theaters October 5th and enjoy the trailer below.
