Netflix is unleashing its first horror series from India August 24 in a three episode chunk.

Ghoul will be released in over 190 countries including India on the heels of Netflix's first Indian production – the crime thriller Sacred Games – which hit the streaming service July 6.

Ghoul stars Indian stage and screen actress Radhika Apte who plays a soldier rapidly rising through her military ranks, and is present when a mysterious prisoner is brought to her remote outpost for interrogation. The prisoner instead turns the tables on the interrogators "exposing their most shameful secrets."

Ivanhoe, Phantom Films, and Blumhouse are all attached for production. Jason Blum said of Ghoul in a statement, "It has been a great experience working closely with Netflix and our partners at Phantom and Ivanhoe to produce Ghoul. This is Blumhouse's first foray into the horror genre in India, and we're excited to share this project with horror enthusiasts around the world."
