James Franco's latest effort, The Disaster Artist (2017), is generating quite a bit of buzz on the festival circuit after garnering rave reviews after its Work In Progress screening at SXSW this March, and is bound to be a boon to Franco's directorial career, and a contender this awards season.

The Disaster Artist tells the story of the making of Tommy Wiseau's The Room (2003), often called “the Citizen Kane of bad movies.” Franco is Wiseau, opposite Hannibal Buress, Ari Graynor, Seth Rogen, Dave Franco, and Sharon Stone.
