Lars von Trier is back in a big way with his new serial killer thriller The House that Jack Built, starring Uma ThurmanMatt DillonBruno Ganz and Riley Keough. The film saw its world premiere at Cannes this past week to much of the theater walking out due to its brutality.

The trailer is a wild a bloody one, giving us a flavor of the film that takes place in 1970s America, tracing the murders that define Jack (Dillon) as a highly intelligent serial killer, while giving us plenty of existential commentary from the titular character. The House that Jack Built indeed looks to be another dive into the void of deviant psychology, a la other von Trier films like Antichrist.
