Last week, Mirror reported that Daisy Ridley, star of the newest incarnation of the Star Wars cinematic universe, would be recording music with an "unnamed" artist, according to Force Awakens director JJ Abrams. In the interview, Abrams praised the stars singing ability which - like a lot of actors - is surprisingly great (some people just have everything). Speculation ran a bit on who the mystery partner was, with many hypothesizing that the 23-year-old Westminster native would be pairing with a current pop star. Way off, apparently.

On Instragram, Ridley revealed that it was actually singer/actress Barbra Streisand. Who, yes, is a definitely a star, but not quite what most were expecting.

What will come of the production is hard to say. Is Streisand a Star Wars fan? Has anyone asked that question before? Regardless, Star Wars: Episode VIII is currently in production, reigned by director Rian Johnson.
