Unsurprisingly, Netflix has renewed 2016's biggest hit, Stranger Things.

According to the press release, 9 new episodes will debut in 2017 with writers/creators Matt and Ross Duffer at the helm once more. It will be produced by 21 Laps for Netflix.

Season 2, which is set in "the fall of 1984": "I don't think we ever thought anthology," explained Ross Duffer in an interview with EW. "I think we talked like a larger time jump where the kids are older now and it’s a different decade. That's something we batted around from the very beginning. But for us, there's still more story here [in the 1980s], there's still things that are unresolved."

The main cast should all feature, along with 4 new characters.

In terms of episode titles (because everyone loves to analyse episode titles), we've got the following: "Madmax", "the boy who came back to life", "the pumpkin patch", "the palace", "the storm", "the pollywog", "the secret cabin", "the brain" and "the lost brother."
