Spike Lee’s latest joint, the based-on-a-true-story BlacKkKlansman, has finally dropped its first trailer.

BlacKkKlansman is based on the very real story of Colorado Springs first black detective Sgt. Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) and his incredibly brave operation to go undercover and expose one of America's most violent racist hate groups: the Ku Klux Klan. He enlists the help of a more seasoned partner Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver) and the two undertake their audacious plan, right as the Klan is in the midst of "sanitizing" its image.

Laura Harrier and Topher Grace round out the supporting cast. BlacKkKlansman is produced by many of the people who brought us Get Out, including Jordan Peele (for Monkeypaw), Jason Blum (for Blumhouse), Sean McKittrick and Raymond Mansfield (for QC Entertainment).

BlacKkKlansman hits theaters August 10. Enjoy the first trailer below.
