Australian actor Damon Herriman is about to become a very well-known name in the United States.

The actor – who has been cast as Charles Manson in Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywoodhas also been cast and has already shot his scenes as Manson in season 2 of David Fincher's Mindhunter on Netflix.

Herriman does have a good amount of awards for his prior work, including 4 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) nominations and one win for his acting work on 2011's Laid, 2014's The Little Death, 2016's Down Under, and 2016's Secret City (for which he won).

As far as Mindhunter goes, Fincher has revealed Season 2 will be dealing with the Atlanta Child Murders which occurred from 1979 to 1981 and claimed the lives of 28 African-American women, men, and children with 5 remaining unsolved to this day. Manson was imprisoned during this time. This may thus limit Herriman's screen time unless the story deals heavily in flashbacks – season 1 of the show really didn't.

BTK (who did appear as ADT Tech in season 1 – working for ADT was a big part of BTK's, real name Dennis Rader's, personal history) will likely play a much bigger part in Season 2. It is also rumored Son of Sam (David Berkowitz) will factor in to the story. Fincher, Andrew Dominik (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford), and Carl Franklin (One False Move) will reportedly be doing much of the direction.

Mindhunter season 2 episodes will likely be premiering on Netflix in 2019. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be premiering on July 26, 2019 in the US and August 9, 2019 in the UK.
