Looking at Wes Anderson's 2014 film The Grand Budapest Hotel, his most recent in a career-long span of unique cinematic triumphs, filmmaker Steve Ramsden found a striking similarity to one of history's most enigmatic horror spectacles - Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.

Ramsden's attention to detail can be seen in his mashup of the two films, effortlessly flowing into one another, in his project The Grand Overlook Hotel. In it, he maintains Anderson's cheery soundtrack while strategically dropping similar jump cuts and Kubrick's frantic horror machinations.
