One of the strongest films to come out of Cannes this year was Sicario. Set amongst Mexico's ongoing war against drugs, an FBI agent played by Emily Blunt is moved into an elite task force based on the border between America and Mexico. In a new team, she has no allies, a whole new set of rules to live by (and to not get killed by drug lords presumably) and the possibility of being surrounded by crooked cops. Blunt is supported by some of Hollywood's finest actors in Josh Brolin, Benico Del Toro and Victor Garber, but it's very clear this film is all about her.

Robin Williams' final film Boulevard shows the story of a husband forced to admit his secret life to his wife.

And finally, another instalment of that animated trilogy that is secretly your favourite, here's Kung Fu Panda 3. It's hard to believe its predecessors were released in 2008 and 2011 (it literally feels like yesterday) but Jack Black is back as Po, along with Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, J.K Simmons and Rebel Wilson. As well as battling someone new, Po has to face his long lost father. One of those two things sounds funnier to watch in a kids animation.
