Two different films about the recent rescue of a 12 boy soccer team and their coach from the bowels of a Thai cave they accidentally got stuck in for nearly 3 weeks, are already in the works.

One will be from director Jon Chu (Now You See Me 2) and Ivanhoe Pictures who last teamed on this year's Crazy Rich Asians. This was one day after Pure Flix Entertainment announced that they were seeking movie rights. Chu announced his efforts with a tweet:

Pure Flix has done a lot in the inspirational/faith, family film arena with pictures like 2014's God's Not Dead, The Case for Christ and Do You Believe?, their iteration on the story they say will be focused on its inspirational qualities.

Not much else is known on the two films so far. Stay tuned for more as we hear it.
