Raise your hand if you've seen Wiener-Dog? Why not? The Todd Solondz directed comedy of misery premiered at Sundance Festival London to considerable acclaim earlier this year and to celebrate it coming to the UK in August (and National Hot Dog Day), Picturehouse Central are donning the aprons and greasing up their very own Wiener-Dog machine* (*It's going to serve Hot Dogs, not sausage dogs before you get concerned.)

Wiener-Dog tells several stories featuring people who find their life inspired or changed by one particular dachshund, who seems to be spreading a certain kind of comfort and joy. It is that very comfort and joy that Picturehouse want to be sending the way of every punter through their doors in the lead up to Weiner-Dogs release.

To get your taste buds tingling, here's a clip from the film where Danny DeVito (yes, the career resurgence Danny) attempting to buy a hot dog. Also, if you need a friend to go watch Wiener-Dog with, download our latest 405 film podcast to have two friends in your ears before you watch.
