This summer, EDM will finally be giving the movie treatment that someone, somewhere may have been asking for probably.

Director Max Joseph, more prominently known for his work with MTV's Catfish, will be making his scripted theatrical debut with We Are Your Friends - a coming of age story about an electronic music DJ trying to make it big in California. Joseph's work previously has been solely focused on documentary style film-making, of which also includes the DFA special 12 Years of DFA Too Old To Be New, Too New To Be Classic.

Played by dreamboat of many shades Zach Efron, We Are Your Friends (named after the Justice track) does immediately come across like an obvious cash grab from Warner Bros., and that perhaps justifiably so it has been given an "accurate" treatment.
