With Oscar season now in full swing, the bevy of trailers for award-hopefuls have begun to unreal at full force. The newest is for director Quentin Tarantino's mega-sized spaghetti western The Hateful Eight, which features a heavy cast of Tarantino familiars, including Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, and a handful of Tarantino first-timers, like Channing Tatum, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Bruce Dern.

Jackson acts as the center figure in the new trailer, which details the titles of each of the "eight" characters (Jackson is listed first as The Bounty Hunter). The entire film is shot in 70mm with the help of cinematographer Bob Richardson, which actually ended up holding the release of the film back. At this year's Comic Con, Tarantino spoke on the technique, saying, "The thing I don't like about digital projection is that it's just HBO in public. If that happens everywhere, then I can just move to television."

Watch the new trailer below. The Hateful Eight premieres Christmas Day and will be released worldwide January 8th.
