This November will mark the release of Loving, Jeff Nichols' (Mud, Take Shelter) newest historical drama about interracial marriage in the 1960s.

The film centers around Richard and Mildred Loving (Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga), a Virginia couple that had to fight the state's dated laws that deemed living with one-another unlawful, as well as raising mixed-race children. The fight made its way to the Supreme Court in '67 in the case of Loving v. Virginia, which affirmed the right to marry for mixed-raced couple's from there forward.

Originally premiering at this year's Cannes film festival, Loving also stars Alano Miller, Martin Csokas, Nick Kroll, and Michael Shannon. The Focus Features picture will see theatrical release November 4, which could mean Oscar consideration is in its potential future.
