Harvey Weinstein appeared before a Manhattan court Tuesday to lodge his plea of "not guilty" to rape and other sex crime charges.

Weinstein's lawyer Benjamin Brafman called the case "imminently defensible" when he stopped after his client's hearing to take a few questions from hungry journalists.

Brafman will likely maneuver to try and get the charges dropped. "I think today is the first day of this process. We begin our fight now," adding "if we are successful, there may not be a trial."
