This is all because of Emilia Clarke's eyebrows, just so you know. After seeing Me Before You last week, I sent Adam a rambling voice memo about how it was a sweet film but mostly I wanted to rename it Eyebrows because both Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin seemed determined to outdo each other in eyebrow quirking and brow furrowing. The next day Adam messaged me and told me we were making a podcast and here we are. So, thank you Emilia Clarke. You are now the Mother of Dragons and Podcasts.

It's not surprising that Adam and I are here with a film podcast, though. Within five minutes of our first conversation, we were ranking our favourite Nicolas Cage films and we've seen countless films together ever since. We love all sorts of films from big blockbusters to quiet films that make Adam cry and everything in between.

...

For us, "good" is subjective and part of the fun. And that brings us to our first episode, where we talk about the last two films we saw: Now You See Me 2 and Independence Day: Resurgence. One has magic and the other has aliens (we'll leave it to you to figure out which) so how bad can they be, right?

Well, if you asked Adam he'd rather burn your £10 in front of you (with fire, not magic) than let you see Now You See Me 2. I had to sleep on it because there was just too much-emotion, magic, Mark Ruffalo--to process in one day but now I can confidently say I liked it. I still have no idea what happened but I was thoroughly entertained. Take that, Adam.

For more on what very well could be the end of our friendship, plus sexy Jeff Goldblum, some indie film goodness, and Shit Film Sunday, have a listen to our first episode. And we'll be back next week with more films. Which ones? Who knows! No, really, we have no idea.
