Exciting news for fans of German progressive krautrock legends Can today, as tracks from their new 3 disk box set are streaming on the guardian website.

The new compilation features off cuts and rarities from the band’s wonder years between 1968 and 1977 so is somewhat of a must have for fans of the group, and comes with much anticipation following snippets previewed on their current label Mute’s youtube channel. The tracks certainly sound vary varied, with everything from a nod to Jimi Hendrix on ‘Midnight Sky’ to their usual experimental psychedelics on the likes of ‘Abra Cada Braxas’. But as usual, this is really top stuff from a band considered by many to be amongst the most inspiring pioneers in their field.
