Lust For Life by Lana Del Rey

Full disclosure: I still don't really get the appeal of Lana Del Rey. The vintage Hollywood aesthetic feels contrived rather than natural, and I find the majority of her music to be incredibly unmoving. That being said, Lust For Life is one of the better pop albums I've heard this year and I certainly don't hate it. So yeah, this is my wildcard pick this week.

P.S. Listen to Mary Margaret O'Hara's 'To Cry About'.

Flower Boy by Tyler, the Creator

Typically, trolls are people with nothing to say. Hence why they become trolls. However, Tyler, the Creator seems to use those tendencies to guard himself, which is a shame because he is super talented. We've seen flashes of it in his relatively short career, but typically it becomes packaged with a whole bunch of filler. Thankfully Flower Boy is great from start to finish. He's at his best when he leans on the teachings of N.E.R.D.

P.S. I've listened to 'I Ain't Got Time' about 450 times.
