Music lovers, vinyl collectors and super fans unite and rejoice - Record Store Day is nearly here. The annual celebration of the independent music sector and its independent record stores returns with over 550 special limited edition records being released alongside an array of live events and in-store signings on Saturday the 18th April.

To aid you through the exclusive releases and help plan what you will be picking up on the day, we give you the 20 records you should most definitely look out for.

1. Father John Misty - I Loved You, Honeybee (Bella Union): Father John Misty has reworked the title track of his critically acclaimed I Love You, Honeybear released earlier this year. The newly arranged acoustic track is accompanied by another new track, 'I've Never Been A Woman'. Oh, and it's red and in the shape of a heart, meaning that not only will it sound amazing, but it will look beautiful as well.

2. Daughter/Warpaint - Winter/Feeling Alright (4AD): Daughter and Warpaint have teamed together for this special release with each reimagining the others' work. Warpaint have created an atmospheric remix of Daughter's 'Winter' from 2013's If You Leave album whilst Daughter created an expansive, upbeat remix of Warpaint's 'Feeling Alright'. An awesome one-off collaboration not to be missed.

3. Shura - Indecision (Jungle Remix) (Polydor): The rising synth pop star hit us with 'Indecision' back in October, and on this RSD remix, Jungle have re-imagined the big pop tune into a beat-driven club number. The B-Side also features the original take of 'Indecision'. And there are only 500 of them, so keep your eyes peeled for this one.

4. Kiasmos - Looped EP (Erased Tapes): After last year's self-titled album, the Icelandic duo consisting of Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen have put together a limited edition EP that also features a remix of 'Held' by the much sought-after producer Dauwd.

5. Courtney Barnett - Kim's Caravan (mom+pop): Taken from her the brilliant and highly successful album Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit this limited edition 12" also features a cover of John Cale's 'Close Watch'. A must have for Barnett fans everywhere.

6. Laura Marling - False Hope (Virgin EMI): Not only does this release feature the track taken from her fifth studio album Short Movie, it also features a recorded version of live fan favourite 'David' for the first time. Predictably amazing stuff from the talented folk singer.

7. D'Angelo - The Charade/1000 Deaths (RCA Records): This 7" special edition features D'Angelo's hard-hitting protest anthem 'The Charade' as well as the poignant '1000 Deaths'. Both of the powerful tracks are taken from late 2014's Black Messiah album and anyone who manages to get their mitts on this one should feel very lucky.

8. Hinds <3 Parrots - SPLIT #1 (Lucky Number): Another collaborative effort over here, with Spaniard favourites Hinds teaming up with best mates The Parrots for this transparent green record. Hinds have taken on a cover of Thee Headcoats 'Davey Crockett (Gabba Hey)' whilst fellow Spaniards The Parrots offer a cover of 'All My Loving' by The Almighty Defenders.

9. TV On The Radio - Seeds (Universal): The 12" pressing of the brilliant Seeds album will also apparently feature some exciting remixes, of which the details have been kept pretty sketchy. Worth having because it's brilliant.

10. John Grant and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra : Live In Concert (Bella Union): Originally recorded and broadcast for BBC 6Music, the popularity and demand for this release was such that Bella Union released it back in December. The brilliant performance, which features arrangements by long term collaborator Fiona Brice, was captured beautifully and the one-off vinyl memento will no doubt be something to lust after.

11. Animal Collective - Prospect Hummer (Domino): Animal Collective are re-pressing their Prospect Hummer EP that was originally released back in 2005 after Sung Tongs came out. It also features Vashti Bunyan on the majority of the tracks.

12. Little Dragon - Pink Cloud (ADA/Because): First of all, this will be a pink marbled 12", which is cool enough in itself to warrant your hard earned cash. Taken from 2014's Nabuma Rubberband, this beautiful vinyl also features an exclusive remix on the B-Side.

13. Woman's Hour - Dancing In The Dark (Best Fit Recordings): Woman's Hour will be releasing their special cover of Bruce Springsteen classic 'Dancing In The Dark' for the first time on vinyl. The limited 500 pressings will also feature previously unreleased tracks 'Sea of Silence' and 'The Shipping Forecast'. Beautiful stuff all round.

14. Run The Jewels - BUST NO MOVES EP (Mass Appeal/Sony): Killer Mike and El-P return with this super special EP, featuring unreleased track 'Bust No Moves' alongside a picking of previous exclusive tracks such as 'Pew Pew Pew' and 'Love Again'.

15. Ryan Adams - Come Pick Me Up (UMC): Ryan Adams fans - keep calm. This track is an alternate take on the song from Adams' debut album Heartbreaker released back in 2000 and will also feature a previously unreleased song 'Rope Gets Tight'.

16. Jon Hopkins - I Remember (Nils Frahm Remix) (Late Night Tales): Nils Frahm has remixed Jon Hopkins' cover of Yeasayer's 'I Remember' (that recently features on his Late Night Tales release) and it's awesome. Oh, and it will be on white vinyl. What's not to love?

17. Kolstø/Atlanter/Frøkedal - Stand Still/Temple (Jansen Plateproduksjon): Three of Norway's most talented and renowned artists have teamed up and created two outstanding originals that beautiful harmonies with a Norwegian pop feel on a limited edition blue vinyl.

18. Hanni El Khatib - Devil's Pie (Innovative Leisure): Hanni El Khatib originally dropped this succulent version of D'Angelo's 1998 single 'Devil's Pie' for his Voodoo album, but it will now be available on limited edition picture disc with an instrumental B-Side for your audio and visual pleasure.

19. CHVRCHES - Get Away/Dead Air (Virgin/EMI): CHVRCHES bring their synth pop cuts that featured on the soundtracks for movies Drive and Mockingjay: Part 1 out on physical format for the first time on a special 7" single.

20. Honeyblood - No Big Deal/Black Cloud (FatCat Records): The Scottish duo bring their characteristically sarcastic and observant lyricism to the forefront with this brilliant tale of a love that's lost its lustre, accompanied by a B-Side version of 'Black Cloud'.
