Beastie Boys founder Mike Diamond recently let The New York Times have a snoop around his beautiful Brooklyn townhouse. Diamond, his wife Tamra Davis and their two sons have lived there for an a year and a half, after the 3,200-square-foot property went under an extensive $500,000 six month renovation.

The bright, spacious home features eco-friendly grass, a chalkboard effect bathroom - complete with a 'Please make sure sink is off scribble' - some unusual artwork and a classy black freestanding bath.
