It’s the end of another working week and this can only mean one thing: the 405 is back with another entry of 405 Words of Fashion. Sit back and enjoy.

Friday's Fashion Favourite… Charlotte Olympia’s Facial Fashion

It is often said that the most attractive things about a woman are her luscious lips and the sultry way in which she moves on the dance floor. What could be better, therefore, than a combination of the two? Charlotte Olympia’s Fall 2012 collection of face-inspired flats and stilettos quite simply leaves us tongue-tied.

After winning the award for Best Accessory Designer at the British Fashion Awards last year, it is safe to say that this lady knows a thing or two about what women want; fun, flirty and mouth-watering fashion.

With each design boasting its own identity via flirtatious titles, such as the passionate purple-tip Kiss me Dolores stiletto or the bisoux flat, you can be sure that these darlings will not go unnoticed. The collection of Luna moon-inspired heels (which parade a glamorous, smokey-eyed and rouge-lipped half moon profile along their outline) fabulously-frame the woman wearing them; why only be beautiful in the face when it can be mirrored on your feet?

Charlotte Olympia's designs bring an element of fantasy to the world of fashion, lending her creations a youthful innocence and fun, flirtatious fire. With Christmas fast approaching, it's time to stop licking your lips over these delights and make your desires a reality: there’s nothing wrong with being head over heels.

Friday’s Fabulous Fix-Up… Rita Ora

Never one to forget her roots, Rita looked effortlessly-chic in a pair of J.W. Anderson tartan trousers this week whilst out in the Big Apple promoting her album, ORA. If it’s good enough for Rita, it must be hot right now.

Here, the 405 shows you how to get Rita’s aura for less:

(Red Tartan trousers: £30, River Island. Patent leather court shoe in red: £19.99, Zara. White blouse: £19.99, H&M. Gold mini triple hoop earrings: £6, Accessorise. Chunky gold chain bracelet: £8, ASOS)

Take a b.o.w: Brand of the Week…WENMEI ZHANG

London College of Fashion graduate, Wenmei Zhang, brings a multicultural feel to universally-popular winter accessories through a selection of furry fancies.

Having specialised in fashion jewellery, Zhang’s desire was to infuse specific looks and fabrics from her home continent of Asia with Scandinavian specialty and experience – providing the ultimate Eurasian fashion experience. Inspired by Asian heritage such as traditional Mongolian hairstyles and headpieces, as well as the work of millinery Danish designers such as Søren Bach, Zhang’s oversized, animalistic collection of stand-out pieces really is un-fur-gettable.

With Zhang’s curriculum vitae boasting design stints at Alexander McQueen and Patricia Nolas, it is safe to say she has learnt from some of the best in the business. Her attention to detail and fearless attitude towards abnormal accessory dimensions bathed in rainbow tones make her one to watch. Fur real.
