As a model, actress and Cambridge graduate, Lily Cole has become a household name known for her firey locks and girlish beauty. To add to her already bulging list of jobs, she has now become the first global ambassador for The Body Shop.

The exciting new range, aptly named 'Beauty with Heart' is entirely vegetarian and fair trade, keeping up with The Body Shop’s ethical prestige of never testing on animals. Cole was chosen for the position as an already active campaigner for people and planet issues with the Environmental Justice Foundation.

Not only are the products created to be cruelty free, they are empowering in a sense that customers are really making a difference in their purchase as they are driving for change in the way make-up is produced. The Body Shop is renowned for helping communities all around the world that is re-enforced by the tagline of the campaign ‘look good, feel good, do good'.

If having the red haired beauty fronting store windows isn’t a treat enough for customers, many of the stores are receiving an entire revamp and becoming ‘Pulse Boutiques’ in which the company aspires to provide a space where ‘beauty, activism and community will meet.’ This also coincides with their new efforts to reduce their environmental impact and energy usage and the ‘Pulse Boutiques’ will also be providing customers with more interactive spaces such as bulletin boards with current campaigns displayed and exciting ‘create your own gift’ areas.

The products themselves are entirely trend in-keeping and heavily reflect summer colours with an abundance of coral, pink and violet shades which are not only stunning, but come at purse friendly prices. Cole has already admitted her favourites are the pearl radiance primer, shimmer cubes and cheek and lip domes - which give an indication of the products set to hit our shelves anytime after the 15th of May.
