Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay in Urban Outfitters overnight? No, I'm not talking about the time you couldn't get out of those super skinny jeans in the changing room as the store was closing. It seems that the retail empire that includes Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Anthropologie, is following in everyone's favourite flat pack and meatball retailer, Ikea's footsteps by building a whole town. No joke, they have just leased the former site of Waterloo Gardens in Devon, Pennsylvania to build a 6.5 acre future town centre. This is happening people.

Urban Outfitters CEO has explained (well kind of) that they're expanding their "bricks-and-mortar retail experience to a lifestyle experience." The Urban Outfitters town will include restaurants, food stores, a wellness centre and boutique hotel called The Devon. Let's hope it'll be like a kind of Sesame Street meets Disneyland for skinny jean wearing adults. Expect artisan/reclaimed everything, exposed brick, moustaches and post-something references.
