According to MCV sources, Wii U sales have rebounded by roughly 125% due to a recent discount for the troubled Nintendo flagship console and the release of Capcom’s action-RPG title, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.

Half of the software revenue for the Wii U is due in part to Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, as well as Lego City Undercover that launched last week.

Unfortunately the Wii U is still lagging way behind the PS3 and Xbox 360 in terms of sales. Previously, retailers have tried cutting the price of the Wii U by introducing a £50 discount, but that still didn't make much of a dent sales-wise. This recent sales spike does seem to show that all you really need is a good selection of games.
