If you're as excited about the new Pokémon X and Pokémon Y as we are, you will no doubt want to know more about it. We can now reveal the first 3 starter Pokémon will be:

Chespin (Grass), Fennekin (Fire) and Froakie (Water). As usual, the starter fundamentals to most Pokémon games are still there in the sense of elemental weaknesses and strengths with Grass being strong against Water but weak against Fire. Fire being strong against Grass but weak against Water and finally, Water being strong against Fire by weak against Grass.

The two major legendary Pokémon that were also featured in the trailer are “Yveltal”, a red bird like creature and “Xerneas” an elk-like forest creature with multi-coloured horns.

The heights and weights of these legendary creatures have also been revealed - Xerneus boasts a height of 3.0 m (9’10”) and weight of 215.0 Kg (474 lbs.), and a height of 5.8 m (19’00”) and weight of 203.00 Kg (447.5 lbs.) for Yveltal.

Along with some shiny new dynamic battle graphics, we're really looking forward to seeing how this game turns out. However, what we really want to know is will the new graphical fidelity/animations of combat effect overall battle speed, thus making it a tad bit slower than what we've previously been accustomed to?

With the announcement of another Pokémon game with such a massive graphical enhancement and stylistic overhaul for its combat, we're really looking forward to rekindling our childhood memories all with this game.
