Through Nintendo of America’s recent North American release schedule, Capcom have confirmed that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be available to play on either the Wii U or 3DS on March 19th.

The game will support cross play, giving players the ability to transfer save data between the Wii U and 3DS. Players owning either the either version will also be able to play against each other online, regardless of which version they own.

The Wii U GamePad will use its inbuilt microphone to chat with players online, however there will also be a Day One patch that will enable support for USB keyboards so you can chat using text to fellow hunters.

This may shape up to be the most definitive experience of Monster Hunter, as it really seems like Capcom have hit the nail on the head by releasing the game with so many flexible multiplayer essentials.
