In an attempt to bury Resident Evil’s dignity further, Capcom has sought to collaborate with Left 4 Dead / Half Life creators Valve to make a semi-bizarre cross-over combining characters of both Left 4 Dead 2 and Resident Evil 6 to feature in each other’s respective games.

In short, PC users who buy a copy of Resident Evil 6 will be able to play one of the four survivors from Left 4 Dead 2 – Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle. To do this, PC users will have an exclusive mode - “The Mercenaries No Mercy”.

In addition, two trademark infected characters will cameo during the special game mode in the form of “the Witch” and “Mini Tank”, who according to Capcom’s press release, will relentlessly attack the players regardless of whether a character from the Resident Evil or Left 4 Dead 2 cast is chosen.

As for those who own Left 4 Dead 2, you will be bestowed with 3 new enemies from Resident Evil 6 – Lepotitsa, Napad and Ogroman. The development of these monsters was made possible thanks to Valve’s Steam Workshop tools.

I Can’t say I'm a fan of crossovers, however I am liking the sound of three more enemy types being added to Left 4 Dead 2’s gameplay!
