Miami, Miami... honestly one of my favourite places to travel to. I been hooked since my first trip there two NYEs ago and didn't even think twice when the girls suggested we go again this year. The city is so vibrant, filled with the aroma of amazing foods and uplifting vibes. Being Egyptian, I tend to have a soft spot for Latin cultures as they remind me so much of Middle Eastern hospitality. It's basically like home but in Spanish and much better weather than London!

South Beach

12 We were very lucky to have a friend lend us their place on South Beach for the whole duration of our stay. If you've never been to Miami before I'd suggest staying around that area, it's central enough to be able to walk to most places and the beach is only a minute away.

Our apartment was literally on the Ocean Drive strip and the loudness of the chaos at night meant none of us really expected to catch up on any lost sleep but waking up to this incredible view made it all worth it every single day!

Wynwood (aka the art district)

3 It's kind of the Shoreditch of Miami and my favourite area there probably because the artist in me really connects with the surroundings. It's like an outdoor exhibit with amazing street art/graffiti on almost every single wall and lots of cool stores and places to eat.

Every time I go there I get a million ideas for photo shoots and music videos - hopefully one day I'll get some done there.

NYE at Mr Jones

3 Two years ago we stepped into 2016 in style by getting invited to P.Diddy's famous NYE Miami house party on Star Island.

This year, we got the royal treatment at the new hot spot Mr Jones who happens to be co-owned by my friend (and dope producer) IceKream. The homie Troyboi having moved there was also part of the celebrations, and cherry on the cake was appearances by rap legends Fabolous and Jadakiss. The alcohol consumption that night got a little out of hand to say the least…

The Beach

5 Can't go to Miami and not hit the beach at least once, especially when you're staying across from it! The sand is like white powder under your feet and the weather is warm enough to sunbathe even at that time of the year.

Warning: the seagulls will fight you for your food!

Breakfast at Shoreditch House

6 I don't know what more to add than... look at that view!

They also have the best avocado on toast and the chances of bumping into anyone who's anyone are pretty high...

The Nightlife

7 The nightlife in Miami is definitely poppin' with its own successful music scene.

Every single place is bursting with people every night and there's something for everyone so I'd recommend trying different places and different vibes out. Start out at Wet Willy's on Ocean Drive (best alcohol slush puppies ever) and carry on if you can!

Got a bit carried away on our way back from a Latino club giving my best JLO pose just before devouring a slice of pizza bigger than my head from the famous Mega Pizza joint. Seriously, google it...

8 I'm drooling just thinking about it, the food was so good! Brand new and located in Wynwood it's great for dinner but also even just to grab drinks before going out. Definitely my favourite restaurant in Miami so far!
