I've always found something rather appeasing about large musical collectives - especially good ones. And with a roster that boasts a cool 15 members, Spirits of the Red City most certainly tick both proverbial boxes. Led by frontman Will Garrison, their music expertly melds an array of influences like one would expect from such a harem, whilst keeping it fully accessible to its listener - no easy feat in itself.

Their second studio album Jula encapsulates this essence with nine tracks that differ in more ways than one - keeping you on your sonic toes throughout - and can be heard in its entirety over on their bandcamp.

Arguably the highlight of this ten-track masterpiece is the delectable 'Mine' which they recently live recorded whilst on tour in Oakland, California. Check it out below:
