The final segment in our SXSW 2013 photo series comes from the UK's noisiest band, Hawk Eyes.

After nearly 24 hours of travel, Mexican food, epileptic fit inducing TV and an attempt to sleep we arrive in Austin. There are stalls everywhere offering free beer, food, musical equipment, clothes, everything, its like Camden Crawl times 100, people with guitars everywhere, gigs in every pub, venue and restaurant. There is nowhere in downtown Austin where you can't hear the dull hum of music.

Whilst we are out in Texas we are also writing our next album so we have been hing a rehearsal room, when we arrived we were told that Meat Loaf and Iggy Pop were also here, I thought it was a joke. It wasn't. Normal.

We are lucky enough to have Lee Laverack from Monster Killed by Laser with us as guitar tech, he bought a bike, we've barely seen him since he's had his bike, its a very nice bike. There was a discussion about how to ship it back home, perhaps we'd all lost our minds a little by this point.

First gig was an incredible start, we were over the moon to be playing with Eagulls and Wet Nuns. Great bands, lovely people, we could still be in Yorkshire! Theres a rumour that Prince is playing, that'll be good.

Going to buy fruit and vegetables now.
