For director Lluís Panadés Julià's first 405TV Session, he filmed the rather wonderful Amanda Mair performing the beautiful 'House' from her self-titled debut album, which finally gets a UK release on June 11th via Labrador Records.

Check out the performance below, as well as some background info on the song from Mair, and the shoot itself from the director. If you like what you hear, make sure you check her out at the Hoxton Bar and Grill on June 13th.

Words from Amanda Mair:

House was the first song I recorded and it was also the first song I released in Sweden. The song is about obsession - to depend on someone and not being able to stand on your own feet. It is about trying to keep on going even though you know it's hard to move on. "House" means a lot to me because it was the first time I was recording in a real studio. I learned incredibly much during the recording and it seemed natural, from day one, to release 'House' as my first single.

Words from the director:

Back in the 60's Bob Dylan was saying 'The Times They Are a-Changin", he was a visionary of his times. We can say today in 2012 that times have definitely changed and musically too. We filmed an intimate session with the young promising Swedish pop singer Amanda Mair in the backstage of the historic Spice of Life located in the heart of Soho. This little stage has been lucky enough to witness somehow an evolution of the music since 60's to the day, seeing the acts of artists such as Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, Sex Pistols or Jamie Cullum. No matter if is rock, folk, punk or pop when something sounds good. The angelical voice of Amanda singing 'House' from her self-titled album released last February on Labrador Records has surely left another beautiful musical memory on this stage.
