Fossil Collective have featured on these pages on numerous occasions over the past year or so, and it's been enchanting to see their much deserved success starting to reap rewards - coupled with a subtle progression and maturity in sound.

Orginally the brains of Leeds-based duo David Fendick and Jonny Hooker, the melodic-folk types expand to a five-piece in a live setting these days, and all were present on a pleasant spring day to sit down with us in Soho Square and play us a song - whilst also providing a free mini free show for the local office-goers on their lunch break. Following a couple of hugely promising EPs, last month saw the release of debut album Tell Where I Lie, that we described as: "a powerful constellation of thoughts that, through the blossoming talents of Fossil Collective, has resulted in a collection of songs that thrive on a heightened sensitivity and enchantment." 'Wolves' was the first single to be taken from the LP and is the track that they performed with us here, in a beautiful, stripped-back acapella style, reworked especially for this session.

Tell Where I Lie is out now via Dirty Hit - go buy from iTunes and any good record store.

You can watch the session below, or via our TV Section. It's also available via our Youtube page (please watch in HD when possible).
