Lost In Translation

Sofia Coppola's first movies always make me feel nostalgic and this movie, in particular, seems super real and spontaneous, it's as if the story isn't planned. I love the idea of the uncertainty of an accidental love. When I first saw it I believe I was in middle school and the soundtrack filled my soul in many ways. I remember the first thing I did was look for who the songs were from and that's how I discovered great songs of Kevin Shields, MBV, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Air.

American Beauty

This movie has lots of lovely simple takes. Even though we see the main character renewing and giving his life a more liberal twist they still show the dark reality of the "American dream".

I saw this movie while I was still a teenager and I felt a strong connection with a character that was trying to capture the beauty of his surroundings using his video camera. It was as if I understood what that character was thinking about. My favourite scene is the plastic bag moving with the wind while we hear Thomas Newman.

Donnie Darko

I believe we were still in middle school/beginning of high school when we saw this movie, we were a bit confused about who we were back then. When we saw it we felt that it changed us, the soundtrack, the story, we feel it is like seeing a hero acting in real life but filled with mental problems, we like the idea of time and how it is presented in the movie, and the photographic direction is amazing.

Kill Bill V.1 - V.2

The soundtrack with Ennio Morricone's songs is absolutely one of my favourite things about the movie. The styling and how dramatic the script is. What I like about Tarantino's movies is how exposed blood is, I like how raw and visceral it all is. I feel that Kill Bill is particularly one of the movies where he goes crazy with blood and it seems amazing because it is very well done.

Los Amantes Del Circulo Polar

This movie is filled with beautiful landscapes, cold surroundings, words and beautiful scripts. Los Amantes Del Circulo Polar changed in me lots of important aspects of my life, from the beginning this movie is filled with casualties and that is the main idea. It made me realize all the possible ways of a relationship. Even the selfishness of a person in front of others, that things can be different and not always concluded.
