After a temporary closure, 93 Feet East has been shut down permanently due to local authorities terminating the venue's alcohol and entertainment license. All part of Operation Condor, the crackdown on licensing infringement that took place last month, the location was a prime suspect, with 175 officers arresting 10 people.

"The decision on 93 Feet East’s licence demonstrates that we are prepared to take swift and decisive action if bars are found to be allowing drug dealing and drug misuse," said Clir Ohid Ahmed [deputy mayor of Tower Hamlets]. "Through continued partnership working between the council and police, including the dealer a day initiative, we will continue to go the extra mile to tackle drug dealing in our community."
