Isle Of Wight musicians Aaron Fletcher and Tim Parkin had a good run as part of The Bees, releasing four albums and a number of extraneous releases, but now the duo has spun off into an entirely new project that they've called 77:78. The strong desire to be musically indefinable is still present in this new project, as they say “Some musicians and bands definitely have their sound and stick to it, which is fair enough, but that’s just not us. Whenever we’re in the studio we’re constantly inspired to go down different musical paths, which I suppose is why the record we’ve made sounds so diverse." The multi-faceted album that 77:78 have created is called Jellies and comes out through Heavenly Recordings on July 6th.

The first flavour to be offered up for sampling from Jellies is 'Love Said (Let's Go)', a radiant track that echoes classic pop groups like the Beach Boys, with some psychedelic elements like flutes and echoing atmosphere on the peripheries. It's a breezy track with a subtle swagger that fast forwards your mind to the gloriously long and warm days of summer, when Jellies will be dropping. Its natural bliss is something that's set to run throughout the album, as Aaron Fletcher expounds: “There’s an absolute joy to this and we really want to capitalise on that. We’re more happy than we’ve have ever been and we want people to see that there’s a lot of fun here... 77:78 is a beautiful vehicle and me and Tim want to give it a roll and see what happens.”
