A relatively unknown actor has been cast in the role of Tupac in an upcoming biopic, All Eyez On Me. This was after the rapper was portrayed by two people in Straight Outta Compton, according to USA Today back in August; ostensibly by Marcc Rose, but the onscreen rapping was done by Darris Love, who apparently trained for eight years in order to perfect Tupac's flow. (He apparently was also supposed to be inanother Tupac biopic called Truth About Tupac).

The All Eyez On Me actor is Demetrius Shipp Jr. (pictured above), who was chosen mainly because he bears a resemblance to Tupac. Shipp was chosen by the film's producer L.T. Hutton, who then encouraged him to take some acting lessons.

As seen below, the role of Notorious B.I.G. has been cast, too. That's Jamal Woolard with Shipp; the two actors have been sharing photos on Instagram recently.

As yet there is no release date for All Eyez On Me.
