Last week, Adele shared the video for 'Hello', the first single to be taken from her new album, 25. With all the hubbub surrounding the release of the new album, naturally the view-count for Adele's video has been sent skyrocketing – so much so that it's surpassed the most views ever earned in a 24-hour period by any Vevo video.

The previous record holder is Taylor Swift, whose 'Bad Blood' video received 20.1 million views over the duration of its first day of existence. However, Adele's video for 'Hello' – in which she wanders around an abandoned house and sings in front of an overgrown telephone box in the woods (?) – racked up 27.7 million in its first day.

On the other hand, speaking not in terms of first-day-madness but on an overall level, Swift's video for 'Blank Space', however, is the most watched Vevo video of all time, with 1.2 billion views; maybe Adele's will give it a run for its money.

If you didn't contribute any one of those 27.7 million views, you can do so below.
