Maybe the name is supposed to throw you off. After all, when you read Adult Jazz your mind might jump to elevators and waiting rooms. If it's a joke, then it's a decent one, because the four-piece don't quite come off like its unassuming title.

From the upcoming debut LP Gist Is, Adult Jazz recently debuted the 10-minute spirited sprawl 'Spook'. The length adds layers of creative swirls, jumping from endearing indie pop to methodical story-telling. It's a profound effort from the group, who play with a multitude of elements - never letting the nervous sprawl escape in the overall effort.

The band will be releasing Gist Is on August 4th via its own label Spare Thought. Until then, listen to 'Spook' below and catch the group performing at London's Waiting Room on June 24th.
