Afrika Bambaataa has given his first interview since sexual assault allegations were made against him this past month. The hip-hop icon called The Ed Lover Show to further deny the charges, while calling the accusations a stunt by people who are trying to gain publicity. "It's people that's trying to sell a book," he said, referring to former New York State Democratic Committee member and Bronx Judicial Delegate Ronald Savage, who recently released a memoir that marked the first allegation against Bambaataa.

Bambaataa also told the show's host that he’s currently discussing a defamation lawsuit with his lawyer. "We're seeing if there's cause for us to do that, I'm getting ready to speak to all the different medias and stuff like that now in the face of all this chaos to destroy Afrika Bambaataa."
