In celebration of our 'Albums of the Year' list we decided to get in contact with all the artists on our top 30 for a short Q&A. We sent them all the same five questions, from what their favourite album of the year is, to what they'd change about their album.

Every day during the voting period we'll post a couple of these interviews so that you can get to know the artists a bit better.

Remember, you can vote on your favourite album of the year here.

Looking back on the album, how do you feel about it? Is there anything you'd change about it?

I feel like we did what we wanted, how we wanted and I'm proud of us for sticking so rigidly to who we are. We had some awesome help from about 4 wonderful people who helped do PR, distro, design and gave general parental advice - but the bulk of the work was ours, and I think we're all just proud of having made something. We're three mums to a beautiful little album-child, and we love it. The record did so well, and we did it alone. There are flaws in the record that we would've changed if we'd had the time, but as Dave Mustaine said - hindsight is always 20-20. And personally I see it as a document of a period of our lives and I wouldn't change a thing.

Tell us something about the album, or the recording of the album, that isn't common knowledge!

We took the name for the album from a conversation with Clare James Clare who manages Mazes. Matt was pointing out that I can't dance, and she retorted that no, everything is dancing. She is fuckin' deep.

What's your favourite album of 2011?

Fair Ohs - Everything Is Dancing. Or maybe Akron/Family's Akron/Family II: The Cosmic Birth and Journey of Shinju TNT, but probably just the Fair Ohs record. Yeah, that's the killer.

What's the best thing you've done this year, besides releasing the album?

The best thing I've done? I don't do a lot of good things. But I made an anti-semite cry a few weeks ago. I enjoyed that.

What are your plans for 2012?

I'm gonna work out and get buff. That's my main plan - bulk out and become a figurative male flame to female moths. Not actual moths. You know what I mean. But as a band we're gonna compose our awesomely epic psych-punk opus. We're gonna blow your minds.
