I can't even make this up if I tried. Blur's Alex James has plans to release a new drink called, you guessed it, "Britpop". This is obviously in line with the seemingly random sets of products he's released before, including a tea set and flat caps. He apparently applied for the Britpop trademark last year, and it was published for consultation by the UK's Intellectual Property Office on 10th January.

No one's really sure what the drinks will be like yet, however Buzzfeed have noted that the application covers "beverages enriched with added minerals", "low alcohol beer"," and "alcopops".
